REMEMBER the wild badge engineering that went on in the 80s and 90s? To compensate Nissan for the sales success of the Ford Maverick - a rebadged GQ Patrol - Ford gifted the Japanese carmaker the XF Falcon ute, which was uninventively rebadged the Nissan Ute.

Unlike the Maverick, Nissan sold bugger-all XFN Utes, but it makes for a quirky piece of Aussie automotive trivia, nonetheless. One came up for sale in a Grays auction recently, so we shared it on our Facebook page and asked what you guys would do with it. Here's what you had to say.

Vaughan Lynch - My heart says a full, built Nismo RB28 stroker; however, my brain says a twin-turbo Coyote. I guess either could work.
