Let's break it down. The clutch is designed to help you smoothly engage power from a standstill, shift gears, and manage traction in low-speed or tricky ride conditions. In tight traffic, feathering the clutch gives you control—especially with larger displacement bikes that have snappy throttle response. Done right, it can even extend the life of your gearbox and chain.
