MAGNITE JOURNEYS
June 2023
|Motoring World
For the final segment of Magnite Journeys, we travel to Thane in Maharashtra, to meet an owner of this segment-defining Nissan B-SUV and to understand why the Magnite is so popular
-

‘In that moment I knew inspiration had struck’, said Swapnil. He continued ‘My son is 11 years old, and at this age inspiration matters. Like me, he loves automobiles and I want, as any father would, to nourish his passion and keep that spark in his eyes alive. It was all the reason I needed to buy the Magnite, and the decision has been completely worth it.’ Swapnil finished saying this as he proudly tapped the roof of his Flare Garnet Red Magnite, which looked great parked alongside the lovely Upvan Lake in Thane, Maharashtra.
A long-time car owner, the Magnite is Swapnil's first SUV, and he cannot stop praising the commanding seating position of the B-SUV that has redefined the segment, with its value proposition. Like other Magnite owners we have spoken to, Swapnil also has an appreciation for how Nissan India responds to its customers.

HISTORY CHANNEL
When I'm around old motorcycles, I often find myself wondering what it must've been like to be born in an earlier time. Wondering, mind you, not wishing. I wonder what it was like when mankind invented the motorcycle. I wouldn't want to get anywhere near the first motorcycle, the Daimler Reitwagen (the word means 'riding car', stupidly enough), made by German inventors Gottlieb Daimler and Wilhelm Maybach in 1885. To quote Melissa Holbrook Pierson, 'The first motorcycle looks like an instrument of torture.' And something that might cause an explosion uncomfortably close to one's nether regions. Right after it's shaken loose every healed bone in one's body.
