As part of our advocacy in 2024, we put a focus on women in leadership and improving the numbers of women in construction leadership.

Opportunities for women to move into leadership roles are a key part of encouraging women to enter the industry.

There are many barriers that women face, including mentorship, support and guidance.

Women in construction can face a lack of mentor and support systems crucial for career development and leadership opportunities.

It can also hinder professional growth and access to leadership roles.

The limited number of women in leadership positions within the construction industry means there are fewer role models to inspire and guide aspiring female leaders.
