IT’S AN ACHIEVEMENT IN ITSELF TO keep a car model going with incremental updates rather than an all-out generation update for a long lifespan. For a model to achieve success to a point where it not only leads its segment, but surpasses its own sales figures from the year before is an incredible feat. The Volkswagen Virtus has done exactly that and it's an important achievement considering it's a premium sedan that was introduced in 2022 in an automotive space dominated by SUVs. To be specific, over 21,000 units of the Virtus were sold in 2024, thus marking a significant growth in sales over 2023, and it was the highest selling premium sedan in India in January 2025. A number of important factors have contributed to this strong momentum for the Volkswagen Virtus.
