George Russell may have won the 2025 Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix, but it was McLaren that had more to celebrate as it clinched its 10th constructors' title

Papaya Go Back-to-Back

THE REIGNING FOURtime world champion, Max Verstappen (Oracle Red Bull Racing), has not really had a great relationship with the Marina Bay street circuit in Singapore because he has never won around here.

The 2025 Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix was the greatest litmus test to see whether his strong form of late was not just a false dawn. Well, in qualifying, he did slot in ahead of the two McLarens of Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris, but he was not in pole position, as it was George Russell (Mercedes) who took it with a scintillating lap. Verstappen lined up second, with Piastri third and Norris in fifth position.
