December 2025

The 2025 drivers' title fight will go down to a three-way shootout at Abu Dhabi thanks to another win by Max Verstappen
SINCE ZANDVOORT, Oscar Piastri's form as the former championship leader has been a difficult phase, with many poor results allowing not only Norris to snatch the lead, but also the reigning four-time world champion, Max Verstappen (Oracle Red Bull Racing), to catch up with him. The Lusail International Circuit has been a happy hunting ground for Oscar, with him taking his first Sprint win in 2023. Fortunately, at the 2025 Formula 1 Qatar Grand Prix weekend, it was this very venue where we saw Piastri bounce back, taking pole position for the Sprint, with George Russell (Mercedes) in second place and title rival Lando Norris (McLaren) in third. His other title rival, Verstappen, had to settle for sixth on the grid.
