GOA IS THE PLACE TO BE WHEN it comes to having a blast at a biking festival. The 2023 edition of the TVS MotoSoul festival kicked off with an interesting announcement which also was the highlight of the first day.
The Ronin was the latest motorcycle to join the line-up of TVS motorcycles last year. To showcase the possibilities of customization, TVS unveiled four custom-built Ronin motorcycles. The TVS Design Team unveiled the SCR, JvB Moto from Germany displayed the Agonda, Smoked Garage from Indonesia unveiled the Musashi, and Rajputana Customs revealed the Wakizashi. Let us get into the details of each one of these custom motorcycles.
TVS DESIGN TEAM: SCR
"SCR" is short for scrambler; according to TVS, it also stands for Special Custom Ronin. This scrambler is a neat custom job with great visual appeal. It gets a 19-inch spoked wheel at the front and a 17-inch spoked one at the rear, both shod with Shinko knobby tyres. To go with the scrambler theme, the handlebar is a wide and raised unit with bar-end mirrors to go along with it. Long-travel suspension and a new swingarm have raised the seat height considerably. The SCR also sports a different solo seat set-up with a small rack for luggage behind it.
At the front, the bike gets a revised LED headlight with a small fly-screen on top. Other custom updates to the bodywork come in the form of oval-shaped side panels with "SCR" branding. Lastly, the bike also gets a really cool twin-exhaust system which is routed higher up. While this concept is really interesting, TVS currently has no plans to put this into production.
