Promises fix for clunky suspension

WE DON'T GET many diesel engines at all these days, never mind big six-cylinder ones like Mazda's 3.3-litre e-Skyactiv D. But Mazda has always been happy to steer its own course, and this engine is, as it has been since arriving in 2022, delightfully unstressed and languid.

You can also still get a petrol-engined plug-in hybrid CX-60, the powertrain options remaining unchanged for this mild update.

The problem with the CX-60 was always the suspension. Everything about this car spoke of an assured, easygoing experience, apart from the fidgety, intrusive ride comfort.
