Rebadged Toyota supermini belatedly receives some design differentiation
You don't have to look hard at the new Mazda 2 Hybrid to notice that it's not actually a Mazda 2. We could pretend, but we both know you've already spotted that it's a Toyota Yaris in fancy dress. The outrage, eh? Well, not really: there's no shame in a bit of badge engineering.
Mazda gains access to proven hybrid technology that would be cost-prohibitive to develop in-house while Toyota gets an extra source of income and production volume.

Max Verstappen was the standout Formula 1 driver of 2025 for me. That's not to denigrate new world champion Lando Norris in any way. In fact, I would argue the opposite is the case.
