IMTEX and Tooltech 2023 made a return to the physical world after a four-year hiatus. Ashish Bhatia with Raghul Krishnan points to the metal forming and manufacturing technology advancements to look out for.
The 20th edition of IMTEX and Tooltech 2023, organised by the Indian Machine Tools Manufacturers Association (IMTMA) at Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC) concluded a successful return to the physical world between January 1925, 2023. Inaugurated at the hands of Kamal Bali, President and MD Volvo India and Gopal Subramanyam, Chairman, SKF India among other dignitaries that included Jamshyd N Godrej, Chairman, Exhibitions IMTMA, Ravi Raghavan, President - IMTMA, Rajendra S Rajamane, Vice President - IMTMA and Jibak Dasgupta, Director General and CEO - IMTMA. The leading South and South East Asia exhibition on metal cutting and machine tool technologies put the spotlight on metal forming and manufacturing technologies. The range of cutting tools, tooling systems, software, and digital manufacturing showcased this year, drew attention to the advancements in the realm of additive manufacturing and the evolution of Industry 4.0 through proof of concepts. Averred Ravi Raghavan, President IMTMA, "Cutting-edge technologies are vital in addressing the need for quality and precision manufacturing in every industry sector including automotive". He welcomed the exhibitors and visitors at large to leverage the platform for collaborations and knowledge sharing to convert business opportunities into transactions over the upcoming months and quarters.
