RANGER TOPS OCTOBER 2025 4X4 SALES AS NEW HILUX LOOMS

The Ford Ranger once again maintained its grip on the Australian 4x4 market in October, selling 4195 units and holding the top spot for the month... but is that about to be flipped on its head with the launch of the new Toyota HiLux?

The impending launch of the new-generation HiLux has hardly slowed demand for the outgoing model, with the fan favourite registering a total of 3793 4x4 sales, placing it ahead of the Ford Everest (2435 sales), which outpaced the Toyota Prado (1458) and 300 Series (1138), and the Isuzu D-Max (1462 sales).

In fact, when combining 4x2 and 4x4 variants HiLux edged out Ranger as Australia's top-selling vehicle for October, with 4444 sales versus 4402. Rounding out the top five were the Toyota RAV4 (4401), Ford Everest (2435) and Toyota LandCruiser (2090), collectively representing nearly 18 per cent of total vehicle sales.
