ATELIER ASHIESH SHAH'S SHOWCASE FOR THE INVISIBLE COLLECTION AT PARIS DESIGN WEEK HIGHLIGHTED INDIA'S INCREDIBLE CRAFT HERITAGE.

This January, during the Paris Design Week, the storied halls of Féau Boiseries came alive with the soulful elegance of Indian craftsmanship, courtesy of Atelier Ashiesh Shah's otherworldly exhibit for The Invisible Collection, a London-based online gallery for furniture and collectibles.

True to his signature style, the objects were a thoughtful reimagination of Indian savoir-faire—meticulously crafted by skilled artisans, yet imbued with a universal appeal that transcends borders.

Showcased under the dynamic Soft Power exhibit, the selection was curated through an evocative prism of contrasts, reflecting both heritage and modernity, the celestial and the terrestrial, and, most importantly, demonstrating on the world stage how time-honoured artisanal techniques transcend time itself. “There was a desire to showcase the depth of Indian craftsmanship through a contemporary lens,” says Shah, who founded his atelier in 2017 as an extension of his practice to reinvigorate lost crafts.
