The Enchanting Kingdom of Animals Dancing Whales

And it was among the most unique experiences of my life. This was in Atlantic Canada, off the coast of St. John’s of Newfoundland and Labrador to be exact. The east coast of Canada is actually a really beautiful part of the country, but for some reason it’s not on the tourist beat.

The waters off this coast are rich in marine life. But along with its impressive whale population, which I will come to later, allow me to inform you that Newfoundland (NL) can also boast of an incredible line-up of birds. In fact, NL is often called the “seabird capital of North America” and if you are obsessed with our feathered friends, here is where you should head to for ample opportunities for bird-watching; eagles, ospreys, kittiwakes, gannets, puffins... The Atlantic puffin, a well-known symbol of this region, has over 95% of all puffins in North America breeding on the coasts of this province.
