Under 20 miles from the unique Sherwood Forest, home of the Major Oak which has been standing for over 800 years and is said to have provided shelter for Robin Hood and his Merry Men, North Leverton is a popular village that may be the one to offer shelter for you and your smallholding future.
Only 6 miles from the thriving town of Retford and 8 miles to Gainsborough, 22 miles from Newark and 17 miles from Lincoln and Workshop, the area has much to offer in terms of things to do and see, history and community. Nottingham is 35 miles and has a good economy. It established itself for textiles in the Industrial Revolution and is acknowledged as a UK Power House. It's the UK's 6th largest city and has many sporting events and a reputation for diverse music.
