GEMMA ELLISON claimed an emotional first international stairway victory with the unconventional Helsinki VDL.
Just two riders jumped double clears, with Gemma and the 12-year-old grey winning from final draw, 4.53sec in front of runners-up Phillip Miller and Don Royale.
