Please…I don’t even feel like a person,” Karen Robinovitz pleaded with her doctor, as she struggled with crushing depression. She had lost her husband and cousin in short succession, and for months, had been unable to function. Her emotional distress was so excruciating that she was forced to stop working, spending most of her time at home crying, unable to eat or sleep.

Her doctor had suggested antidepressants, therapy and grief counseling and even massage therapy…but nothing had lifted the cloud of darkness. How can I go on like this? Karen despaired.
