The Prince of Wales is in despair over his mistakes with Harry
-
Buckingham Palace was prepared for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to air some unflattering grievances as part of their Oprah TV special, but they weren’t expecting the couple to reveal they felt utterly failed by Prince Charles.
While the runaway royals spoke warmly of Harry’s grandmother, the Queen, they levelled sensational claims that the Prince of Wales had “cut them off financially” and even stopped taking his youngest son’s calls.
Harry confirmed they’re now back in touch but added, “There’s a lot to work through there. I feel really let down because he’s been through something similar. He knows what pain feels like, and Archie’s his grandson.”
LET DOWN BY FAMILY
A source close to the Sussexes says, “It would have been hard for Harry to make this claim so publicly, but obviously he’d had enough. It seems Charles washed his hands of his own son and grandson when the going got tough, which is partly why tensions between the palace and Harry and Meghan escalated to this point.”
