Beloved children’s entertainer the Wiggles’ Greg Page and his family are said to be quietly counting their lucky stars after he survived a near-fatal cardiac arrest during a performance.

“We are happy to let you know Greg has been discharged from hospital today and will now begin a journey of rest and recovery at home,” the Wiggles shared on Twitter last week.

“Your thoughts and prayers for Greg have meant the world to him and his family. He’s so grateful for the messages of love and support from around the world,” they said.

PR manager Kylie Martin confirmed that family and bandmates had been at his bedside and his health was much improved. “It’s really great news and everyone’s relieved,” she said.
