Live telly, early mornings, hair and make-up, breaking news. This action-packed agenda is all in a day’s work for Good Morning Britain star Susanna Reid.

The 50-year-old has held down one of the biggest presenting roles on telly for seven years now, which is a long time in any job, let alone the cutthroat world of showbiz.

Until recently, she was untouchable as the sparring partner of former GMB host Piers Morgan - their knockabout banter and hilarious on-screen tiffs made TV gold.

But earlier this year the loveable double act came to an unexpected end, when Piers made an explosive exit from the show, storming off set following a row with weather presenter Alex Beresford. And with ITV towers actively ringing the changes, could Susanna still be the big name in the studio this time next year?
