I’m wary of analysing Doc Martin’s success. I’m getting letters from people who are only just discovering the series for the first time, and people come from all over the world to watch us filming in Port Isaac, Cornwall, people who are long-term fans. I hope people love it because we work really hard to get the scripts right.
