Q Tell us about your new collection—the Easy Classics Collection.

A We divided that collection into two parts—Easy Ponytails and Easy Classics. We are seeing a real change in New York at the moment within the hairdressing industry. Education has become more digital; we see more of social media, YouTube and likes. People, perhaps, are not always getting the right training that they want. So, we designed a collection that appealed to both, experts and amateurs. Easy Ponytails are designed just for simple style–whether they are asymmetric or not. Braiding is popular, so we put special braids into their hair. Then we went to the Easy Classics. The difference between these Easy Classics and anything else that I have done before is that I have created a foundation; I have created a really beautiful concept that a young hairdresser—even though he might not be really trained for long—could follow this step by step and get a beautiful result. So even though the pictures look incredibly manicured and elegant, the actual technique is quite simple.
