Everyone loves growing older and wiser, but with no visible signs of age on the face. How would you react if you were told that your face is in dire need of a restoration?

Drinking plenty of water and eight hours of sleep sure can do wonders for your skin but experts say most skin damage is caused by sunlight. Photoageing (also known as dermatoheliosis) is a term used for the characteristic changes to skin induced by prolonged exposure to sun’s UVA and UVB rays.

Throwing light on photoageing, Dr. Bharti Magoo, Aesthetician and Owner at Golden Touch Clinic says, “Characteristics of photoaged skin include fine and grainy wrinkles, coarseness, laxity, mottled pigmentation, actinic lentigines and keratosis, washedout look and spider veins.” Adding further, she says, “This process is characterised by clinical, histological and natural variations which differ from changes in chronologically aged but sun-protected skin.”
