QUICKTEST Logitech Mx Master 3
October 2020
|Stuff India
When the big daddy of the rat world opens up its coffers and coughs up a facelift of a legend, the world takes notice. The Master series of mice from the brand has been the go-to for most of the creators and professionals for a while now and this new squeeker comes with a load of new features, a new scroll mechanism and a hefty price tag, but does it have the cheese it promises to bring to the table?

How is the build?
While the gaming series of mice have been tried and tested (we still abuse a G502 RGB) the story is no different when it comes to the workers. Clad in quality rubber and built like a tank, the MX 3 feels premium to hold and fits like a glove even if you have hands that can put an ogre to shame. The new scroll wheels are made from machined steel and are fiddle-worthy to say the least, but more on those later.
Is there a wire?
There's no wire, of course and there's no lag or even an indication of jitter. The sensor is in fact now 5X more accurate than the previous version and has a resolution of 4000DPI that really helps when you want to accurately target a single pixel. In fact, Logitech has blessed this mouse with its revered Darkfield Tracking tech that allows you to use it on almost any surface, including glass. There is a Type-C charging wire though but you get 3 hours of run time with a minute of charge and a full charge lasts you 70 days! Now isn't that a class act.
What is all this tech you speak of?
