The computer that made computing fun is back to claim its right over your family space...

APPLE I MAC 24 (M1)
₹1,59,900 /apple.com/in
If something is working well with the cultural and social tapestry, Apple is known not to mess with it. So the last-gen iMac served well for almost a decade, dropping jaws initially and getting a bit long in the tooth lately. So, an all-new design is finally here and Apple chose the right moment too. Powered by the boisterous M1 chip which has proven its mettle rapidly, the new iMac gets to be slimmer and sexier than ever, thanks to this chip. How so?
If you’re not a fan of Jay Leno (or big chins), you might want to look away now because even after multiple facelifts, Apple persists with the “you’ll learn to ignore it” theory, much like the notch on iPhones. But at least now there’s a valid reason for it to exist since the entire computing platform resides in this space below the new 4.5K screen. Yes, that includes the CPU, GPU, a six-driver speaker system, the I/O board and all the thermal stuff. So while removing the Apple logo from the chin might make it a bit less conspicuous, it’s very much integral to the reason why the new iMac is also impossibly thin for an all-in-one computer. It’s Apple thinking outside the box by maximising the space inside the box, again!
Slim fit Measuring just 11.5mm at its thickest point, which is all of it basically, the iMac is still the best looking all-in-one out there. It’s also more convenient now with TouchID integrated wirelessly into the new Magic Keyboard which transmits encrypted date securely to the iMac.
