Product Review - Nanuk 970 Case for Inspire 2

The old adage, “Good things come to those who wait,” adequately applies to Nanuk’s new model 970 DJI Inspire 2 case. A longtime fan of Nunuk’s line of fine quality cases, I knew it was just a matter of time before they’d jump into the Inspire 2 arena.

When I’m evaluating a new drone case, especially one that’s built for a larger drone like the Inspire 2, there are two questions I ask right off the bat: “Is the case easily mobile?,” and “How much of my accessories can I pack into it?”

The first question is immediately answered in that the 970 contains two strong polyurethane wheels and a telescoping extension handle that releases with the push of a button. Although this 26.3-pound case has two huge hinged handles on left and right for easy lifting, the added weight of the Inspire 2 and its supporting accessories require this case to be rolled whenever possible!

Counting Penguins

Counting penguins is harder than it sounds. With freezing rain, snow, and chilling winds that limit the flight windows for the surveys, it takes scientists using three full days to map the location of 300,000 nesting pairs of Adélie penguins on Antarctica’s Cape Crozier.

UAS TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT The Key to the Future of Drones

In 2012, Congress passed the FAA Modernization and Reform Act, which established a deadline for the agency: achieve full integration of drones into the airspace by 2015. As the calendar rolls over into 2021, this begs an obvious question: “Are we there yet?”
