How to customize the Control Center in iPadOS

CONTROL CENTER IS one of the most useful but perhaps also one of the most under– used features in iPadOS. Not many people realize how handy it can be and that you don’t have to stick to the default controls.

There is much more to Control Center than adjusting volume or brightness, or turning Wi–Fi or Bluetooth on and off. Whether you want to use the Home app to switch a light on, scan a QR code, or make a recording of your iPad’s screen, you can do it all from Control Center— with a little bit of customization. In addition to choosing which features are accessible, you can configure the layout and specify whether it’s accessible when you’re running an app, or only from the Home screen.

Once you’ve got it set up the way you want it, the key to getting the most from it is to use it often and create a habit. If there are two ways to do something and one of them is to use Control Center, use Control Center. Build the muscle memory and soon you’ll reach for it instinctively.
