The whole article is divided into 3 parts i.e. Opportunities in higher education, need of global tie ups and research based education. So let’s start with the first one that is opportunity in higher education.
Its pity to see that, only 8% of the population reaches to the level of higher education. Governments (central and states) jointly have invested lakhs of crores... but what did they get in return... nill bate sannata... as we don’t know that what actually do we need from this education.
When we see these children we give a damn their past and literally curse the teachers who taught them in primary, secondary and under graduation that if they would have taught them properly we could have got the better input for teaching. But at the other hand, I think this is the beauty that we get totally raw students to convert them in better product.
It’s surprising to know that it took almost 4 decades to our ministers to understand that education is not merely the education but its for developing the human being. The first HRD minister was Mr. P.V Narsimha Rao. Thanks to the then P.M. Mr. Rajiv Gandhi who understood the relevance of the fact that for human development only education is not sufficient. Something more is required. And it took another 2 decades to understand that why the combining of education with skill is required. When at the government level it took so long, we can easily assume that how long the transformation will take place at the ground level.

Remember the times, when Baba Ramdev used to come on debates and fasten on his idea of economics and often suggests that ‘We should encourage small currency rather than big tenders’, The idea hark back live on the evening of 8th November, While taking a historical but stunning stand, The Union Government has decided to do away with Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 currency notes from midnight on 8th November. These notes will cease to be legal tender from the midnight of November 8, 2016, announced Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his television address to the nation on the same day. “The value of these notes becomes merely a paper,” he said in Hindi, adding that the move is to curb the circulation of counterfeit notes and fight black money.

The Arithmetics Of Cashless India
Economist, Prasenjit Bose says,” Making India completely digital and going cashless is not possible right now. For that to happen, we need financial literacy. More importantly, we need digital literacy. We can’t force people to go digital in a country where two-thirds of the population reside in villages. Almost a quarter of the rural populace doesn’t have mobile phones, let alone smartphones. Many villagers do not have a bank account. They do not know how to open an account. Yet, we are forcing people to go cashless due to demonetization. That’s not the way to use technology. Basically, it is created for urban India and we can’t impose it on everyone.”
