A CLASSROOM AT HOME

A year into the COVID-19 pandemic, most of us, perforce, have adapted to working from home, playing and relaxing at home 24/7, and, of course, learning from home.

As schools are still closed, students continue to study and learn from home, and, considering the poor state of internet connection in most Filipino households, this presents a constant challenge.

But moving beyond connection issues, families have also found that they need to allot a place dedicated to learning to reduce distractions while studying, where students can fully absorb their lessons and feel at ease and productive.

As a new law student, here are some of my insights after a year of distance learning myself.

Find a niche

One of the first things I needed was a dedicated learning space where no one could disturb me. For studying, whether it is Law, a bachelor’s, or any other lessons, a student needs the space to think and absorb his lessons fully. Unlike the traditional classroom setting, distance learning is somehow more challenging, and the added distractions at home don’t really help.
