Abstract
A varierty of legumes, such as black beans, blacked eyed peas, black gram, chickpeas, cowpeas, green peas, kidney beans, lentils, lima beans, navy beans, peanuts, pigeon peas, soyabeans, and sweet baens are consumed worldwide as part of a healthy diet. There are evidences to belive that legumes may be helpful to mainatin a healthy gut, reduce blood sugar, decrease the risk of cancer, and promote heart health. In our manuscript, we searched electronic information from the scientific databases in order to analyze and evaluate the nutritional values (protein, fat, carbohydrate, fiber, vitamin, and mineral) of legumes, such as beans, lentils, and peas. These legumes viz: beans, lentils and peas are also excellent parts of a healthy diet and other nutritional trends (vegan, vegetarian diet).
