Timely Tymal Gives Sharks A Bit More Bite
SUSSEX head coach Mark Davis is hoping that the return of England international Tymal Mills will provide his team with a much-needed T20 boost against Glamorgan today.
The Sharks lost two and had one no-result from their opening three games in the Blast but welcomed Mills back to the squad against Hampshire on Thursday.
And Davis is delighted to have his key man back after the fast bowler proved his fitness in a second-team game against Somerset earlier this week.
“Having Tymal back is a big boost, not only for him but the whole squad,” he said.
“We have managed his rehab very carefully and he came through his four overs in the seconds on Tuesday and he’s raring to go.
“Obviously, he is a big player for us and we’re looking forward to seeing him reproduce the performances which lifted the whole tournament last year.”
The return of Mills could be crucial for Sussex as they look to halt GLAMORGAN’S run machine Colin Ingram, who has two Blast hundreds already this season.
