Scott Bain was disappointed at Motherwell’s antics on Sunday but delighted that the Hoops took all three points

SCOTT Bain has enjoyed an impressive start to 2019, with a string of first-team performances and, before Sunday’s game against Motherwell, a perfect domestic clean sheet record after eight wins in a row for the Hoops.
And although delighted at another victory to maintain the eight-point lead at the top of the table, Bain and his team-mates were irritated at the manner of conceding a goal at the weekend.
Celtic had kicked the ball out of play due to an injury to Ryan Christie, but when Motherwell took the subsequent throw-in, instead of relinquishing possession, they went on the attack and scored a goal, sparking fury amongst the Celtic players and supporters.
Speaking at Lennoxtown this week, Scott Bain said: “I’ve never seen anything like it. I would be embarrassed today if I was them waking up.
“It’s disappointing but we go again and go from there, but it’s really disappointing. They had a chance to rectify the situation and let us score a goal and they would get plaudits if they had acted like that, but it was disappointing.
