Celtic face Ferencvaros in a UEFA Champions League qualifier at Paradise
CELTIC will play host to Hungarian side, Ferencvaros, in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League tonight (Wednesday).
It’s a one-leg tie at Celtic Park, and Neil Lennon’s side will be aiming to progress to the next round and take a step closer to the group stages of the competition.
They won their first-round tie 6-0 against KR Reykjavik, while Ferencvaros beat Swedish side, Djurgarden 2-0 at home, with striker Tokmac Nguen scoring both goals.
Ahead of tonight’s game, we take a look at Celtic’s Hungarian connections, going back to the Hoops’ first visit to the country back in 1911.
