I Really Enjoyed The Celebrations. It Felt Like The Celtic Park I Know. It Was Beautiful, The Atmosphere And Everything

NEIL Lennon revealed he was deeply moved by the special atmosphere inside Paradise as Celtic lifted the Scottish Premiership trophy on Sunday, and he praised his players for their work ethic in the second half of the season.

Celtic rounded off the final game of the season with a 2-1 win over Hearts at Paradise before going on to lift the league trophy for an eighth successive time. At the close of the 2018/19 season, the Scottish
Premiership league table shows Celtic top with 87 points - nine more than second place and five more than the Hoops achieved during the Double Treble campaign.
Speaking to the Celtic View immediately following the trophy presentation on Sunday, Neil Lennon said the win was a fitting way to celebrate what his players have achieved this season.
“It’s a brilliant day,” said the manager. “I’m feeling euphoric and very proud. It’s a great way to finish the season. I enjoyed it immensely. These are great moments. It is really important to the players that they enjoy it because it is the culmination of all the hard work and talent. It was important to win.
“I really enjoyed the celebrations. It felt like the Celtic Park I know. It was beautiful, the atmosphere and everything. The performance and connection between the players and fans rolled back the years for me. It was a nice moment, so again you enjoy that. But it’s about the whole Trophy Day and what it means.
“Coming in when I did was a very difficult period to negotiate from a manager’s point of view.
“And the players have been excellent, absolutely excellent.
“We won the league by nine points and that’s a very healthy total. We’ve lost one game since December, so we’ve really put our foot on the pedal in the second half of the season. The relief all came after Aberdeen when we won the league, but to win on Trophy Day was special as well.
“I’ve done my bit but all the foundation, the platform and the players, that was down to Brendan.”
