As both a proud Yorkshirewoman and former world champion, who has for years plotted to win gold in her own home region, who better than Lizzie Deignan to take us through the details of the elite women’s route?
Shortly after departing from the start line in Bradford, the race passes through Deignan’s home town of Otley, and the course as a whole features loads of connections to her personal life.
“The route goes past everything that means something to me,” she told Cycling Weekly earlier this year
