Brit makes low-key return to racing at truncated UAE Tour, reports Sophie Smith in Abu Dhabi

Chris Froome says the Tour de France is “very much so” on his radar after his comeback at the virus-hit UAE Tour from a career-threatening injury, adding the next three months will be “crucial” to his campaign.
The four-time Tour champion wasn’t remarkable on the results sheet in the UAE but it was clear from the outset that he wouldn’t be a contender eight months after suffering serious injuries.
