Ashton Lambie to join the squad for upcoming Berlin World Cup.
-
Huub-Wattbike have called in back-up from the USA for their pre-Christmas World Cup campaign, taking on individual pursuit world record holder Ashton Lambie for four weeks.
Lambie, who set an IP time of 4:07.25 at Aguascalientes, Mexico, will join the team for the Berlin World Cup later this month, and the following round in London, before returning to the USA.
“Ashton’s dad got chatting to a guy who works for Huub over in the States and mentioned that he was looking at team options,” said Huub rider Dan Bigham, “and that he was looking to do some fast rides. That came back to us.”
The team had been looking around for a rider to replace Harry Tanfield, who has signed for WorldTour team Katusha-Alpecin.
