BMC expecting improved Porte at Tour

Australian team leader wraps up Tour Down Under victory.
BMC have said they are expecting Richie Porte to improve on 2016’s fifth place at the Tour de France this year as he secured overall victory at the opening World Tour race of the season in emphatic style.
Porte finished the Tour Down Under 48 seconds ahead of Esteban Chaves (Orica- Scott) to secure victory on Sunday.
The win is a major boost for the Australian, who finished second in the previous two editions of the race, in his build-up to the Tour de France in July.
