Cat in the Box

Cat in the Box debuted in Japan in 2020 as a unique trick-taking game.

Based on the Schrödinger's Cat thought experiment, the game's cards don't have a suit until they are played. Once a value of the specified suit is played, it's marked off on the center experiment board and no one else can play that card. Most trick-taking game rules are in place (must follow suit if able, one color is trump, the highest card of the led suit-or trump-wins, etc.).
