Homemade Ragi Cereal
For nine to 12 month-olds
INGREDIENTS
250 gms ragi
125 gms wheat
125 gms rice
20 gm almonds
20 gms cashews
10 gms walnuts
20 gms raisins
1tsp cumin seeds (roasted)
4 dry dates (chopped)
1&1/2 cup milk
1/2 tsp ghee
METHOD
Wash ragi, wheat, and rice and dry each ingredient overnight by spreading it on a muslin cloth. Dry roast each ingredient separately until you get a nutty aroma. Grind with almonds, cashews, walnuts, raisins, cumin seeds, and dry dates into a very fine powder. Take 3 tsp of this prepared powder in a pan and mix with milk till there are no lumps. Place the pan on the stove on medium heat and cook this mixture till thick, for three to four minutes. Continue to stir and finish with ghee.

3 tbsp curd For tempering
1 tbsp Oil
1 tbsp ghee
1/4 tsp mustard seeds,
1/2 tsp cumin seeds,
6 curry leaves
1 onion finely chopped
1/4 tsp green chili ( chopped)
1/4 tsp
