IMF For Debt Swap, Local Fund Raising In Climate Action

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is keen debt-for-climate on swaps for countries struggling to raise funds for climate change-related action, managing director Kristalina Georgieva said.
The agency is devising key performance indicators for emerging and developing countries to project their climate actions forward and get relief to fund them. "We haven't yet found the formula for how to do that... but we are thinking about it," the IMF chief said in an interview.
