Debbie Denied Entry As Her Visa Stood ‘Rejected'

British MP, Debbie Abrahams, who is also the Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group for Kashmir, was denied entry into India as her e-visa had been “rejected” by India. She awaits deportation back to UK.

The Member of the British Parliament in a statement claimed that she was "treated like a criminal" and taken to the deportee cell.

Government sources have denied the allegations as “false”.

“She was treated with respect as would have been accorded to any member of parliament,” say sources.

Government sources added, “The e-visa of the British MP was cancelled. She was informed of the revocation. The status of her e-visa communicated to her clearly says 'rejected'. She can apply at the nearest Indian mission or apply online for a regular visa.”
