A SIX-MONTH undercover police operation smashed a major county lines drugs ring and saved children from its evil clutches.
Operation Trigona saw Met officers infiltrate a gang operating out of south-east London and across the UK.
County lines gangs typically target vulnerable children living in care or poverty to make them ferry drugs to rural areas.
Some recruited at school gates have been sexually abused and blackmailed.
The operation identified 33 county lines running out of south-east London.
