Infectious... Kate's lockdown fashion sparks viral sell-outs

DESIGNERS are cashing in on a style frenzy as women snap up Kate’s clothes online to copy her look.

The virus lockdown has clearly done nothing to dent the Duchess of Cambridge’s fashion icon status.

Her influence on internet shopping searches has soared by 58 per cent and her first eight lockdown outfits during video call engagements have sold out.

Shopping platform lovethesales.com has compared the demand for Kate’s lockdown gear with her previous eight looks before the coronavirus curbs began on March 23.

Her video call clothes sold out within days as women bought up her wardrobe.

Website co-founder Stuart McClure said: “UK shoppers have been unable to hit the stores for two months now and more women than ever are turning to Kate for fashion inspiration.
