Three 'N Easy For Red Hot Magpies
LEAGUE leaders Salford City were brought back to earth with a resounding Yuletide bump by local rivals Chorley.
The Magpies were great value for this win and manager Matt Jansen was understandably thrilled by his side’s performance.
“I was disappointed by our FA Trophy defeat to Marine last week,” he said. “We were flat after taking the lead, but today I told the lads to approach the game with no fear. I want us to approach every game in the same fashion and was delighted with the response – we lifted ourselves and then some”.
The afternoon had started promisingly for Salford, but the Magpies would defend resolutely all afternoon and were soon playing some good attacking football.
