Orient boss is turning fortunes around

LEYTON Orient continued their recent revival under new manager Justin Edinburgh and provided him with an early Christmas present in the shape of three precious points at the Gallagher Stadium.

Goals either side of the break from the excellent Bondz N’Gala and top scorer Macauley Bonne secured a second straight victory for the O’s on the back of a woeful 17-game winless run.

No wonder Edinburgh was delighted afterwards. “It was a top performance from start to finish and it was our best since I’ve been here,” the former Spurs full-back beamed. “As a defender I pride myself on clean sheets so I was pleased we got one of those as well.”

In contrast, Maidstone are stuck in a bit of a rut, without victory now in their last five matches. Boss Jay Saunders admits he is beginning to get irritated with how things have gone for his side in recent weeks.
