Bluebirds eye play-off push

VERDICT: The bigger they are the better Barrow seem to get as they completed the double over the Daggers in a game which proved a great advert for National League football
PAUL COX hailed his Barrow side as “brilliant” after coming from behind to keep their playoff hopes alive at the expense of fellow promotoion hopefuls Dagenham & Redbridge.
A 39th-minute penalty from Liam Hughes and a strike from Moussa Diarra turned the tables on Corey Whitely’s early opener to keep the Bluebirds within four points of the play-off places, while the Daggers failed to take advantage of Lincoln and Tranmere playing in the FA Trophy.
“I thought we played some good stuff and should have come in at halftime 3-1 to the good,” delighted Cox said. “We kept up the tempo and got a fully deserved result.
“A lot of people had tipped Dagenham for automatic promotion but we have now got nine cup-finals to come and if we show that kind of mentality, it will go down to the wire and I will love that.”
