Fun In The Sun!
August 2017
|The Scots Magazine
Your music expert, Lisa-Marie Ferla, looks forward to an exciting month of outdoor “boutique” festivals...
-
WHEN it comes to outdoor music festivals, my motto has increasingly become “the smaller, the better”. Think two or three stages, conveniently located so that you can catch all the bands you want to see without wearing out your wellies, manageable toilet queues, and decent food and drink.
Even better if it’s in an accessible location, allowing you to get a good night’s sleep and a shower before you head back out for day two.
If you too are a fan of the so-called “boutique” festival, prepare for the best month of your life. Every weekend in August, somewhere in Scotland, you’ll find a different event with its own personality. From the weird and wonderful world of Doune the Rabbit Hole in Stirlingshire to dance festival Groove Loch Ness and a poppy Party at the Palace in Linlithgow, there’s definitely something for everyone this month.
