A Model Family

It’s no easy feat but along with their children, Paolo Trillo and Rissa Mananquil Trillo have built a beautiful home filled with happy hearts

A picture-perfect family: Paolo Trillo, manager of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) team Meralco Bolts, is photographed alongside his wife, the supermodel and entrepreneur Rissa Mananquil Trillo. Their two young girls look up at them in childlike wonder: a testimony of their hands-on parenting that has brought this little family unit even closer together amid the pandemic

In many ways, Paolo and Rissa embody the essence of a power couple. Both veritable leaders, they have each forged their own unique paths while simultaneously building a family and staying true to themselves. “It doesn’t matter if our careers or our goals are staying on the same course or headed toward different directions,” says Rissa. “What we know for certain is we’re always going to be steering our lives together.”

Since their 2012 wedding at The Peninsula Manila, the couple have grown their small family of three—mum, dad and son Enzo—into five. Now, there is Audra and Celestia, two young girls with cheeky smiles and a sense of awe their mother is eager to protect. (“The passion that they get from it will give them what they need to keep pressing on,” Rissa explains.)
