Every car enthusiast must have had the wettest dreams of their lives after hearing Skoda officially confirming that the Octavia RS 245 will be on its way to India next year.

Well, first things first. How many of them? A special batch of 200 Euro Spec units will be shipped to India. Yes, this time they're not holding back anything. Those 200 lucky car nuts will get to tame this 245 producing horses that they will forever keep in their garages. That's because you will hardly find an RS for sale in the secondhand car market. And If you were quick to guess the 245 as the number of horses from the RS245 teaser, you know your RS' pretty well! As compared to the previous RS model, this one gets a 15 PS bump in performance. The powertrain, however, remains the same, 2.0-litre, four-cylinder TSI engine producing 241 bhp and 370 Nm of torque, coupled with a 7-speed DSG gearbox. It now gets an electronically regulated limited-slip differential apart from all the other clever touches that Skoda has always offered.
